IN GOOD COMPANY

This comedy sinks small, sharp teeth into corporate politics, though finally filed down by niceness. Paul Weitz wrote and directed, with good work from Dennis Quaid as the veteran exec suddenly dropped below a young hot-shot (almost emrbryonically smooth Topher Grace), and Scarlett Johansson, sexy in her quiet, sly way as his daughter. The ending may not quite work for anyone bulldozed by ageism.
A Universal Pictures release. Director, writer: Paul Weitz. Cast: Dennis Quaid, Topher Grace, Scarlett Johansson, Philip Baker Hall, David Paymer, Marg Helgenberger and Malcolm McDowell. Running time: 1 hr., 50 min. Rated PG-13.
