University of Saint Francis SOCA opens 42nd Annual Student Exhibition

The University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts opens the 42nd Annual Student Exhibition and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, April 7.

From 5 to 7 p.m., student work will be displayed in the Mimi and Ian Rolland Visual Art and Communication Center off Leesburg Road and the USF Music Technology Center at 431 W Berry Street. All of the programs encompassed by the USF School of Creative Arts will be showcased with more than five hundred student pieces on display.

The SOCA Awards Ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center Auditorium. The ceremony honors student artists, musicians, and scholars for high achievement in their field. The University Jazz Ensemble will be performing selected works immediately preceding the event, starting at 7 p.m.

The art exhibition runs through May 2 in the Rolland Art Center. The Weatherhead and Goldfish Galleries are open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
