To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first official Record Store Day, the North Anthony Corridor is hosting a full day of festivities at the the boulevard of shops bordered by Crescent on the south and Coliseum on the north.

The center of the action is, of course, Wooden Nickel Records. Kicking off at 8 AM, RSD promises lots of great offerings — free tickets from the Foellinger Theatre and the new Clyde Theatre; goodie bags and prizes; 14 excellent Fort Wayne area bands playing all day in free, all ages shows; and free Old Crown Coffee (and cookies), just to name a few.

This is in addition to over 400 exclusive Record Store Day vinyl releases coming out that day.

But that’s just the beginning. The Bookmark hosts a book signing by Vicky Hamilton, author of Appetite for Dysfunction: A Cautionary Tale. Hamilton is the former manager for several bands, including Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Poison, Faster Pussycat, and Stryper — yes, she has quite a few stories to tell — and she’s also an artist in her own right: painter, screenwriter, songwriter, and Grammy-winner.

Rhapsody Art Gallery and Studio will host games and other events.

Also, the North Anthony Corridor Group beer tent is open 11am to 3pm for adult beverages provided by Old Crown; the Sol Kitchen Food Truck will be on hand; and four door prizes will be given away throughout the day.

Check out the facebook pages for the North Anthony Corridor Association and Wooden Nickel for full details, or go to northanthonycorridor.org.
