Explore historic Southwood Park on ARCH’s Home and Garden Tour

ARCH, Fort Wayne’s organization for historic preservation, announces its annual Home and Garden Tour will be held in the Historic Southwood Park Neighborhood, Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday, June 27th 2015, from 10:00am until 4:00pm. The annual event features historic homes and neighborhoods throughout the city. The Historic Southwood Park Neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for outstanding architecture, and attractive well-planned landscaping. The neighborhood features exceptional homes in the Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Craftsman styles.

The Historic Southwood Park Home and Garden Tour will feature 13 houses ranging from stately Tudor mansions to storybook bungalows. Other activities are planned for the day of the tour, such as a silent auction, an artist/food market that will feature several local food trucks and many art vendors from the Paradigm Gallery. This is a great opportunity to celebrate both elaborate architecture and landscape design within one of Fort Wayne’s oldest and charming neighborhoods

The Historic Southwood Park Home and Garden Tour is part of ARCH’s 2015 Community Education Program, sponsored in part by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, the Foellinger Foundation, and the Lincoln Financial Foundation.

Tickets will be available beginning now, online and through the ARCH office.
