A little girl stands her ground at one of WOWO radio’s “Man on the Street” events in front of the Patterson-Fletcher store on the corner of West Wayne Street and Harrison Street. The store opened at that location in 1917, and is long gone. Back in the day of the small businessman, other men’s clothiers graced downtown: Brateman’s, Saul’s, Rosenbaum’s, Maier’s, Golden’s, Suedhoff & Butler and Meyers & McCarthy.
