This well-remembered classic theater was built in 1912 and is shown here in 1939 featuring two first-run films. In 1913, tickets to a movie at the Jefferson cost five cents. In 1922, a Kimball Theater organ was installed to accent the silent films of the era. The Jefferson, which was directly across the street from The Embassy lapsed into second-run films much later in its lifetime, and closed in 1978.
