1948, North American Van Lines

 In 1948, North American Van Lines opened its doors in this office building on the outskirts of New Haven. In 1955, NAVL was a national leader in the moving industry; with 1100 agents in the U.S. and Canada, operating 1500 moving vans, and employing 200 people in its home office. In 1977, NAVL moved into its new office building on US 30.
