St. Joe, 1927

Fort Wayne Reader

“St. Joe.” That’s what the title says, and that’s pretty much all the information we have about this photo. Maybe it means “St. Joe Boulevard,” but we really don’t know, and we don’t have any cross streets to make an educated guess. The date on the picture is January, 1927, and the sign the man is hanging up says “Allen County free service,” indicating the filling station in the background is a book deposit site for the Allen County Public Library.
