A picture that needs no explanation — the bed race from the 1974 Three Rivers Festival. Here competitors are coming at you, headed north on what looks like Calhoun Street. We have no idea who the runners and riders are in this photo. We also have no idea who the winning team was that year. Presumably, it was the team that pushed their bed over the finish line before anyone else. But don’t quote us.
