A parade for Olympic swimmer Matt Vogel — the guy with the shaved head — in July, 1976. Vogel, a Fort Wayne native, competed in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, winning gold medals in the 100-meter butterfly and the 400 medley relay and setting a world record. After stints as a coach in California and Maine, among other places, Vogel returned to Fort Wayne in 2006 to take up coaching at Fort Wayne Acquatics.
