Favorite Local/National Shows: "I can honestly say that I really enjoy live shows in basements or small venues. They produce an incredible amount of vibrations that make me smile like I am on crack! Bulletwolf and La Cacachouette at The Brass Rail and Drowning with Anchors and Missing Murders at Lemon's basement were very memorable shows. Drums baby!!! Toy Boxes: The Art of the Plastic Camera and Requiem: By the Photographers who died in Vietnam and Indochina at FWMoA. The 27th Annual National Print Exhibition at Artlink was amazing. Favorite National Show: "Because I'm a nerd and I keep track of these things, I saw 24 national acts in Fort Wayne this year. In 2005, I saw 6 and in 2006 I saw 4. In fact (super nerd alert), no year has ever cracked double digits before this one. So, it really was quite a year and this may be a wuss answer, but I have to declare a tie between Clutch and Tim Williams. Maybe it was all of those beards, but those shows rocked."
Rob Wood
Favorite Local Album: Vandolah To the Moon
Favorite National Album: "While In Rainbows was a very fine album and not a Radiohead retread, the album that surprised me the most and carried The Wood all the way through was Friend and Foe by Menomena."
Favorite Local Show: Definitely Gary with Left Lane Cruiser and Poopdeflex at O'Sullivans
Favorite National Show: "The Teeth (Part II) with The High Strung and Orange Opera at Mid City Grill. And what a year, huh? I am sitting here thinking, 'That beat out Dr. Dog, Loretta Lynn, Ike Reilly, Tim Williams and a host of other solid shows I saw, not to mention the ones I missed.'"
