Bodies of Water — Ears Will Pop & Eyes Will Blink [Thousand Tongues]
Ever curious as to what it would sound like if ABBA recorded for Elephant 6? Well, listen to this album and wonder no more. Secretly Canadian will re-release this album on January 22nd.

Bon Iver — For Emma, Forever Ago [Self Released]
Justin Vernon, former frontman for DeYarmond Edison, holed himself up in a cabin for four months and recorded this folk masterpiece. By the sound of it, his loss is our gain. Jagjaguwar will re-release this album on February 19th.

Robert Francis — One By One [Aeronaut Records]
He's 19. He cites Townes Van Zandt as his major influence. He wrote one of the best albums about heartbreak this year. Go buy the record already.

The Snake The Cross The Crown — Cotton Teeth [Equal Vision Records]
Granted, they have the worst name since Hootie & the Blowfish, but they blend The Band with The Beatles and even I can't say no to that.

J. Tillman — Cancer and Delirium [Yer Bird]
With a voice that falls somewhere inbetween Damien Jurado and Jason Molina, this singer/songwriter has 'the quiet thing' down pat. Luckily, he's as prolific as he is talented, having released 4 albums in the last 2 years and another one planned for next spring.
